Some people have really great mothers, but I have a superhero of a mother. Everyone says their mum is the best, but I say it wholeheartedly and truly, truly mean it. I would not be who I am or where I am today if not for my mum. She is beyond inspiring. I'm actually at a loss for words. I don't know how to explain how amazing she is. She would have to be your mother in order for you to really get it! And there are only four of us, on this earth, lucky enough to know. There are only four of us who know how special she is. There are only four of us who know what her heart sounds like from the inside. I miss my mum already, and have since the second I left her side, but I miss her especially today, because I've been able to think about how I want to thank her and all I want to thank her for. I decided to do it here because she deserves to have everyone know just how extraordinary she is.

Happy Mother's Day. I hope on this day you take a second to congratulate yourself on a job well-done. Not only do you have four incredibly good looking children, but they are super well-behaved and ridiculously brilliant, too! No, in all seriousness, your kids rock And I am pretty sure that you had something to do with that. You are the kind of person who puts everyone before yourself. Time and time again you have made sacrifices for me that I will never be able to repay you for. You have chosen to put Kaehler, Rod, Abby, and I on this pedestal, where we are treated like royalty and have been allowed to live quite luxurious lives. As you know I don't mean luxurious like yachts or diamonds, but luxurious like love and protection. Love, protection, and kindness, things like these are luxuries. Not all mothers give them, but you do. In plentiful amounts. Your children are rich in these luxuries, their hearts are over-flowing. We may not tell you enough, but I'm telling you now. You are so deserving of everything you've ever wanted because you given us that and so much more. You should be mentioned in some women's history book somewhere because there is no one else like you. I love you more than I can put into words and I thank you for every single thing you've ever done for me and for every single thing that you've yet to do for me. I hope you know that you are all-consuming of my heart, and I pity the fools that try to push aside some room in there for themselves. Thank you for being you. Thank you for being my mum. I wouldn't have it any other way. All my love.
And to those mothers that I have had the blessing of getting to know throughout the course of my nineteen years. You are the mothers that I aspire to be. There is something that I have learned from each and every one of you that I will take with me into motherhood. I will not know how difficult the job truly is until I experience it for myself, but watching all of you be the phenomenal mothers that you are, makes me confident that I will be able to do it too. Happy Mothers Day to each and every one of you! I love you all and appreciate having you all in my life, but today you stand out in my mind and I cherish you even more than I normally do.
