Meet me, Saadia 😊

If you've ever sent us an email or DM, chances are you've spoken with me!

I am a queer, nonbinary, Muslim, Pakistani settler of colour who draws on my anti-racist and anti-colonial politics, feminist values, and lived experience to support our clients.

As Umbrella’s first point of contact, I am deeply committed to helping our clients reach their therapeutic goals through respectful, timely correspondence and a wealth of knowledge including local resources should our team not be able to meet your current or specified needs.

Along with managing and supporting our practitioners’ schedules, I also maintain our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles, which you can check out by clicking the link in our bio!

Meet Sydney!

Sydney believes in creating space to tell our stories. Working from a narrative, client-centered approach, they support clients in understanding past experiences and working towards future goals. Sydney practices from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, harm-reduction framework, and holds a commitment to dismantling colonial structures. Their practice is sex-positive, kink-positive, and poly-positive. They promote disability justice, mutual aid, and care work within therapeutic communities.

Sydney has experience working with youth and adults in acute crisis, within both hospital and community settings. Comfortable sitting with and sharing grief, they invite those who have experienced loss, recent or historic, to bring any and all related feelings into the therapeutic space. Outside of therapy, they can be spotted hanging out with big dogs and reading beautifully diverse books.

Meet Siobhan Cassidy! Siobhan offers a compassiona

Meet Siobhan Cassidy! Siobhan offers a compassionate, intuitive, and non-judgmental space to explore and heal using anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, decolonial, and intersectional approaches. Their style can include arts-based activities, embodied movements, groundings, and other visualizations. Her practices draw from strengths based, mindfulness, and narrative therapies.

They are an Irish & Scottish, white-settler, queer, non-binary, fat femme. They have worked with individuals and groups in community-based non-profit settings across Turtle Island, for over 10 years. Siobhan has experience in providing rape crisis , gender-based violence, intimate partner violence, mental health, substance use, and traumatic grief counselling to folks experiencing poverty and homelessness. She loves supporting queer and trans folks navigating coming out, adjusting to hormones, exploring topics of identity, community, and self-image.
