AREAS OF FOCUS
  • Attachment in Individuals and in Relationships
  • Complex Trauma
  • Deepening Connections
I am a black bi-racial, queer, cisgender woman, with Afro Caribbean and Nova Scotian roots. I am a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers and registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I graduated with a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies from the University of Toronto.

“Let’s uplift and nurture inner wisdom, connection, and self-empowerment.”

My practice is client centered. I view collaboration as an integral component of healing and mental health work. My practice is also informed by the understanding that healing and repair occurs through relationship with one’s self, with others, with community and with our environment. When working with me, you can expect to work with someone who draws from de-colonial, harm reduction, intersectional feminist and trauma-informed practices and theories.

I use multi-modal approaches, meaning I often draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, mindfulness, somatic strategies, and solutions-focused strategies. I also welcome the inclusion of ancestry, spirituality, and tradition in mental health work.
I approach this work with care, enthusiasm, humility and gratitude. I look forward to connecting with you!
