Maxine’s practice is also informed by the understanding that healing occurs through relationship with one’s self, with others, with community and with creation. When working with Maxine, you can expect to work with someone who draws from anti-colonial, harm reduction, intersectional feminist and trauma-informed practices and theories.

Depending on client interests, values, goals and needs, Maxine will use somatic, cognitive behavioural and narrative therapies, polyvagal and attachment theories, as well as solutions – focused and strengths-based techniques. She will also welcome the inclusion of ancestry, spirituality and tradition in sessions, again depending on client interests, values, goals and needs. Maxine approaches this work with care, enthusiasm, joy, love, humility and gratitude and looks forward to connecting with clients!
